About Rachel Richards

With 23 years in the travel industry that included managing a very busy retail store for years and extensive travel, I can provide valuable information to you from my own experiences.

I have been diving in Tahiti, Niue, Fiji and Vanuatu, wandered through Petra & the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan and the Atacama Desert & Easter Island in Chile, I've completed the Golden Triangle in India and travelled extensively in Scotland & the Hebrides, Ireland, Argentina, Uruguay, Australia, USA & Canada, Borneo, Egypt, Turkey, Russia, Thailand and Morocco among other places. Rail journeys around Europe East to West have been a memorable part of my travels. Closer to home, I've been from Cape Reinga to Stewart Island and have done a lot of wilderness tramping!

My favourite destination would have to be the Easter Island - a magical place that I had always wanted to visit for as long as I can remember. The isolation, the rugged beauty, amazing history and its people made the trip a very enriching experience.
