Over the next four weeks Travel Managers Group is looking into North America with inspiration focused content. Below Ashley has shared his top travel tips and recommendations when visiting North America!
Where is your favourite place in North America and why?
New Orleans, Louisianna. This city is a world of its own and outstandingly different from the rest of USA.
What is your best travel tip when travelling to/in North America?
Carry some cash as many places do not take cards unlike New Zealand. Dress for layers with light rain/parka type jacket
Where is the best place you would recommend clients travel to in North America and why?
New Orleans, as it is entirely different from rest of the USA. French Heritage in style and food for more than 300 years.
What is the top thing you would recommend clients do in North America (could be experiences, activities, food to try etc) and why?
Sightseeing: The Rockies, Grand Canyon, Yosemite Park, Niagara Falls, Art Galleries.
Cities: New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, Portland Oregon, Las Vegas
Transport: Ride the Amtrak trains
Do you have any other travel expert advice/comments you would like to share about North America?
Absolutely fabulous, do not miss any opportunities, visit as much as possible and take the Amtrak trains if it suits.
