About Vanessa Conrad-Grigg

At a very young age, I was immersed in travel from my parents (sitting through many slide shows and film reels of their adventures in Europe in the 60’s!!) This ignited my own 3 year OE, and enjoying my experiences more as a local than a tourist.

I spent 18 years with Air New Zealand Holidays and have now clocked over 9 years as a broker for the Travel Managers family. I thoroughly enjoy creating new experiences for my clients and embarking on new travel adventures with my own family. My passion is to ensure your next holiday brings you unforgettable experiences and amazing memories you will remember for a lifetime and can share with your family and friends.

I love planning leisure and corporate travel. I specialise in cruises, tours, and independent tailor-made packages and invest many hours researching the best options for you.

Travel Managers is backed by the Envoyage Group which means I have access to some amazing deals! 
 
My favourite destination would have to be Italy for the food, and the USA for the variety!

My best travelling experience includes Getting to know the locals, people-watching, and a mix of culture and fun.

I am available by email or phone and by appointment Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 6pm. I am flexible and mobile and can arrange visits at a local cafe or your home.

My Top Tip: Don’t forget to never travel without...Earplugs, an eye mask and a power bank! Also, an open-minded attitude helps immensely, especially when you encounter a ‘drama’, no matter how big or small there is bound to be one and being able to 'go with the flow' always helps :)

Over the next four weeks Travel Managers Group is looking into North America with inspiration focused content. Below Vanessa has shared her top travel tips and recommendations when visiting North America!

What is your best travel tip when travelling to/in North America?
Hire a car if you can, it is so much easier to get around and explore off the beaten non commercial tracks. it is also easier to fill the boot with you shopping as well!!!

Where is the best place you would recommend clients travel to in North America and why?
Ideally a road trip from San Fran to Los Angeles along the coast. Or a road trip from Charleston south through Savannah to orlando for a combo culture and fun.

What is the top thing you would recommend clients do in North America (could be experiences, activities, food to try etc) and why?
Fryed green tomatoes in the southern states along with bbq crocodile. Give Knotts berry a go. no ques and fun rides.
