Travel has always been a part of my life – from childhood holidays around New Zealand, to my Big OE, living overseas, and accepting every travel opportunity that comes my way. I love it, and I live for it.

I love using my 24 years experience in the travel industry plus a lifetime of exploring new destinations to help my clients have an amazing travel experience.

I’ve visited 60+ countries since a family trip to the UK and Europe as a teenager ignited my passion for exploring our amazing planet. For me it is the tastes, the smells and sounds, the history, the humanity, the wildlife. It’s confronting, challenging, yet rewarding and educational.

I’ve travelled in all styles from five-star luxury to backpacking on a shoestring, business class to budget airlines and everything in between. I’ve experienced both the best and the most challenging aspects of travel, sometimes on the same day.

My brand, Rove Culture, allows me to be unique in my approach to your travel adventures, while still having the backing of a large organisation.  Rove Culture are two words that sum up my own style of travel, and what I believe travel is all about.

Favourite destination & why

Cambodia – It’s the culture!  The people are so resilient.  They have been through so much, yet they have the biggest smiles, and people with nothing set up charities to help others.  I love roving around the amazing temples, rivers, beaches, markets and more.  And the food is great - think Thai x Vietnamese, with a splash of French.

• Rebecca helped put together our first overseas holiday together in almost 20-years. Where is your favourite place to visit in Australia and why?
Tasmania!  It has epic beaches, loads of tramping, vibrant cities, and of course, the Tasmanian Devil!

What is your best travel tip when travelling to/in Australia?
Take good travel insurance - it's a vast country, and if something happens to you it can cost a fortune to get you to help, or get help to you.

Where would you recommend clients travel to/in Australia and why?
As most of us have been to the East Coast already, Tasmania offers something quite different.  It's a great destination for an active self drive holiday.

What is the top thing you would recommend clients do in Australia (could be experiences, activities, food to try etc) and why?
Leave enough time to explore Launceston fully.  It's a city that surprises.  With Cataract Gorge, craft breweries, art, peacocks, it's a really neat little city.
