Hello,
My name is Claire and I have recently set up as an independent travel manager after 14 years in the industry.
I got the travel bug at a young age and I have been fortunate enough to have travelled to 26 countries with many more on the wish list. I enjoy exploring new destinations and experiencing different cultures and cuisines but I am also inspired by hearing about the adventures of others.
This passion for travel and people led me to apply for my first role in the travel industry in 2007 having returned to NZ after a few stints working and studying abroad. I have worked in various roles managing leisure and group clients and I have always prided myself on providing a personalised and professional service.
My "why" is because I love the industry and I want to share this passion with others and to assist them to amplify their travel experiences. Setting up as an independent travel manager allows me to work from my home office while being able to be fully mobile when I need to be. This offers me more flexibility to service my clients and more time to spend with my family.
I can make great recommendations based on my years of experience and worldwide knowledge, and I can save my clients precious time on researching, planning and booking their trips. Travel is an adventure and things can go wrong so if you are ever in a pickle, I am just a phone call or email away to assist you. This is especially important in these post covid times as things are less predictable.
I can assist you with making and managing many and varied arrangements including ocean and river cruises, small and large group tours, family trips, romantic getaways, business trips, great train journeys and most things in between. I can also ensure you get the right travel insurance to protect your investment...after all travel is the thing you are likely to spend the most money on after houses and cars!
Initially I will be available to make new bookings Wednesdays-Fridays and by appointment at other times with a view to increase my available hours in the future.
